Tell readers you may earn a commission before or beside your recommendation and referral link. Use plain language they can see without opening another page.

Do not rely only on a footer, profile biography, a label such as “affiliate link,” or a disclosure hidden behind “more.” For videos, make the disclosure in the video and beside the link in its description. Use the same language as the recommendation.
