B015Duplicate Account in File
The same account appears multiple times in the file
Affected Field
#4Account Number
Description
Each account should appear only once per Metro 2 file. Duplicate accounts (same account number for the same consumer) create confusion in processing and may result in incorrect credit report information. The credit bureaus will typically reject or flag duplicate records.
Common Causes
- Data extraction pulling duplicate records
- Multiple base segments for same account
- File concatenation creating duplicates
- Source system data quality issues
How to Fix
- 1Deduplicate records before file generation
- 2Use unique constraint on account number per file
- 3Review data extraction logic

Metro 2 code reference
A rejected value is usually a wrong code rather than a wrong format. Every CRRG code set has a per-code page with its meaning and cross-field rules. Metro 2 codes: the complete cheat sheet puts all of them on one page.
Catch Errors Before Submission
