    What Compliance Condition Code XJ means

    • The FCBA equivalent of XD.
    • Used when a cardholder closes the account and a billing-error dispute is still being worked.
    • Both facts must genuinely be true.

    When to report XJ

    • 1A cardholder closes the card and disputes the final statement's charges in the same contact.
    • 2A revolving retail account is closed at the consumer's request while a disputed charge is under investigation.
    • 3A line of credit is closed and an unauthorized draw is contested under the FCBA.

    Reporting rules

    • Populate Date Closed.
    • Applies to open-end revolving accounts only.
    • Move to XG or XH once the billing-error investigation concludes.
